1) Youth programmes:
Understanding Your Values" workshop given by 2 TetraLD trainers in Brussels
The two TetraLD coaches Marc Avanzo of France and Graham Boyd of Belgium offered a sold out weekend-long workshop aimed at having young professionals better understand their values and then finding ways to apply such values in their working lives.
Over 25 youth from all over Europe got off the dance floor of life and were given an opportunity to use tools to think through where do they want to play in the game of life. They used tools to learn how to consciously use and apply a consistent set of values, that is tools to figure out who they are, how they interact and lead others and tools to empower them to lead their lives. Graham´s report on the event: I was recently coaching the organising committee, and presenter of, at a weekend conference, IMAGINE 2009, A key element of IMAGINE is inspiration through external speakers. The aim is to provide the participants with a variety of people who actively work in the field of social change.
The workshop I presented, a 3 hour compressed version of the 'Lead by your Values' workshop developed with Marc Avanzo, appears to have done exactly what the conference organisers expected. The course was well attended which shows how important values are to today's generation of entrepreneur.
A comment from one of the organisers, Matthias: "During our Conference, Graham not only excelled as a speaker and in the many personal conversations he offered to our participants, he also shared valuable experiences in enabeling effective group dialogue and helped us prepare the conference and presentation of the content. 2) Social Enterprise
TetraLD supports entrepreneurs and small businesses in remote communities (India, Kashmir, South Africa) through micro financing of specific projects, buying fair trade materials and products, to employing resources directly in various projects. TetraLD has an interest in renewable energy projects for remote communities and connecting those communities with knowledge through technology.
TetraLD also works with open source technology and tools for it's online collaborative learning and virtual community platforms and developments.
