Work experience
2007 Life and Executive Coaching and Training. I work regularly as a free lancer coach for a
coaching and training company in Spain, specialized in large coaching projects for
multinationals. Since 2009, I am supervisor and examiner of coaches in CTI, the
Coaches Training Institute.

Together with a partner, I have my own coaching practice, NOVOEXPAT, specialised in
expatriated executives and their spouses

1991- 1996 Account Manager for Special Projects, Philips Lighting, Madrid
1987- 1991 Lighting customers’ showroom leader

The different management positions in sales and marketing, in Spain and for the European market in the HQ’s in The Netherlands, have given me the following rich experiences:

  • Working in a multinational serving in different roles both the regional/ country market perspective and the central organization.
  • Operational and strategic management roles in sales and marketing.
  • Leading (inter) national teams: direct reports and remote cross-functional teams.
  • Being an expatriated professional from Spain, working and living in a new and different environment in The Netherlands; living the change.

My coaching carreer started formally in 2007, however during my business period I had the
opportunity and the role to coach/mentor young potentials and team members. Apart from this internal mentoring/coaching experience within Philips Electronics, I have currently more than 500 hours of coaching experience, with clients from companies like Philips Electronics, Sun Microsystems, Telefónica and a number of medium/small size companies.

I coach in person but I am also used to coach on the phone.

Moreover, I have developed and led trainings programs on Coaching Skills for managers and
MBTI workshops for teams in different organizations.

Since mid 2009, I am also part of the faculty at The Coaches Training Institute , as examiner and as supervisor of students in the certification program to get the accreditation CPCC, Certified Professional Co-Active Coach.

Personal
I have a unique combination of a long corporate experience in two different countries (and cultures), with a coaching education which approach encompasses people’s whole life. I easily connect with the nature of the issues that managers in multinationals face and I support them in aligning their personal vision and values with those of their teams or companies .

The feedback I regularly get shows that my positive and enthusiastic nature combined with an
authentic championing power, encourages my coachees to grow and expand their capacities.
At the same time, my intuitive and respectful way of being in relationship with my coachees, creates a safe space for experimentation and learning.

What I find most inspiring in working with managers is to support them to find their most authentic and shining selves, the part many of them tend to “forget” to incorporate in their leadership style.
